Reflections at Fujifilm's 2026 Photo Walk
Several weeks before the event, Fujifilm announced its Nationwide Photo and Video Walk and welcomed photographers using any camera brand. The date was set aside after registration, and the early start was partly for the giveaway, with free shirts and stickers on offer.
By 5 a.m., the gathering was already underway. Some photographers had arrived as early as 3 a.m. Even at that hour, arriving meant being roughly 18th on the list, though there were still free shirts available. Familiar faces were scattered through the crowd, while others arrived with groups of their own.
The walk's theme
Reflections was the theme for the walk, and the challenge was to find them without forcing the frame. The mirrors of a motorized vehicle caught a man, several vendors, and the street in one image. Along the water, a ship, a motorized boat, a smaller boat, and an empty boat lined up in a single frame. Another photograph focused on a ship and boat reflected in the water. Inside Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, the idea of reflection took a different meaning: a person kneeling in prayer.
Finding a reflection was only the start. Fitting it into a photograph with the people, boats, or street around it was the harder part.
After the walk
The final photograph came after the reflection exercise. Around 10 a.m., the photographers met at PBA Gensan, where Fujifilm provided food and drinks. That was where the event ended.
